A lot of times, a product will be created for one purpose, only to have it used in a way that no one expected. One example is the Internet. In its earliest days, the Internet was supposed to be a tool to allow scientists to share information quickly and easily, even if they were separated by a continent or an ocean; little practical application was seen. (We probably don't have to point out how this turned out.) Another example: Beanie Babies.
Ty Beanie Babies, when they were introduced in 1996, created a buying frenzy similar to the Cabbage Patch dolls of the 1980s. Each Beanie Baby had its own name, a "birthday," and a poem describing its personality. And although these were indeed popular with children, Beanie Babies were also tremendously popular with adults (especially--but by no means solely--by women), who used them to decorate their cubicles at work, adorn their beds at home, and eventually, as valuable collector's items.
Because Beanie Babies are so popular with collectors, it's not uncommon to find people who own dozens or hundreds or even more. At Happy Toy Depot, we know how to serve collectors. We specialize in selling all types of collectible toys, including Ty Beanie Babies. All the Ty Beanie Babies we sell come in mint condition with their tags (and we have a few that are also mint in their original packaging).
